The Celtic Glider (CG) was started in small craft room in owner Shannon Corum's basement in 2013. Shannon has a Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from Indiana University (1996), is a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist, is a current student at the Herbal Academy, and works as an Occupational Health Nurse for the US Census Bureau in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Her family includes her husband, 4 children, 56 sugar gliders, 2 chinchillas, 2 rats, 2 tenrecs, a flying squirrel, 3 mice, some fish, and a cat.

Her love for all small animals, various craft skills, and creative mind lends to the ever-growing products you'll find on her site. In addition to creating custom requests and developing new items, Shannon also enjoys educating people on small animal care, safe sewing, and toy making.

CG travels to various exotic animal shows across the US each year, offering innovative products, learning new ideas and information, educating others, and sharing in the joy of small critter ownership. ​
