Time: 12 pm-?
Location: Cordy's Castle Sanctuary
It's our 8th Annual Cordy's Crafty Christmas Party!
Ever wanted to learn how to sew a cage pouch or make a simple toy for your fuzzbutt? Cordy's Castle invites you to come hang out with us for a day of fun, food, and fellowship.
We will have lots stuff on hand to use for toy making and sewing, however, feel free to bring some stuff to share if you have it. Good fabric choices are fleece or flannel, and toy making items should be wood, stainless steel, or hard plastic. Rubber animals are ok too.
Don't know where to shop? Joann’s, Hobby Lobby, or Walmart are good choices for fabric. Your local dollar tree is a goldmine for toy making items. They have plastic baskets, cups, and toys of all sorts. The baby toy section at Walmart or Target, etc. are good places to look as well.
Things to avoid: anything with a metal or clear coating that can flake off, anything with string or threads that can unravel (dog toys with ropes are a no no, dolls with hair, stuffed animals, etc.), anything with little parts that can break off and be swallowed, or brittle plastic that is easily cracked. Think about shopping for a toddler.
We will have chain for sale as well as some charms and special toy bases at the party. You can always order stuff from Wild Little Monkey's store as we have a good sized toy making section online. Just select "Pickup" during checkout. If for some reason you are charged shipping, I will refund it to you. Be sure to let me know.
This is a food pitch in so bring a finger food or easy snack to share as well as a bottle or two of wine, if you can, not required. We will provide some hot foods, drinks, and, of course, more wine. Priorities, right?
Lastly, as many of you know, Cordy's Castle is an official 501(c)3 organization. There will be a donation jar at the party for anyone wishing to help out. There will also be some items for sale and maybe a few raffles. All proceeds will go directly to Cordy's Castle. (any vendor wishing to donate items please PM me).
We go all day so you can come and go whenever.
Recap on what to bring:
Toys parts/fabric (if you have some to add to the stash)
Side dish
Bottle of wine (I like sweet, lol).
I have a little space at the house or I can provide hotel info for anyone wanting to stay all night. PM me if you have questions.
RSVP's appreciated so we can plan on having enough food/drinks, etc.
